My little baby turned 11 months this week and has turned into quite the little climber. He even figured out how to make it to the top bunk by himself.  We have since moved the ladder so he is not tempted.  That boy… 🙂 This week was full of school Christmas parties, too many cookies and candy and also RUNNING!

This weekend it hit me that my marathon is only 16 weeks away! Let the official countdown begin! I have already began training but at least I know the big race IS coming… I was testing out some shots on my phone on the way home from church and for some reason I liked this one, don’t ask me why…

This is the marathon I wanted to do but this year they decided to make guaranteed entry only to qualified applicants and sadly my only recent qualifying race was

Houston, we have a PROBLEM….

Well, I have a bit of an annoying race problem. As you know, I had planned on registering for the Houston Marathon. The race is January 14, 2012. (Perfect-timing for my first marathon post stress fracture.) It is a fast course which will be helpful in my quest to re-qualify for Boston. That weekend is also a big deal because

Well, we know what’s NOT next… Sadly, I will not be in Beantown this weekend. BUT, I know I will do it when the time is right. As every runner knows- when you finish one big race (or have an injury) you need ANOTHER big race goal. If I didn’t have my running goals I would probably lose my mind!
