The Heart and Sole Half Marathon Race Report

Runners are a very determined group of people.  Sometimes to a fault.  When we have a race in our mind it is hard to deviate from the plan.  I knew before my race that I wasn’t feeling good but I wasn’t about to miss the only half marathon on my schedule all fall.  I didn’t know exactly what was wrong

Not Boston Bound 2014

This morning the Boston Marathon opened registration for runners who have met the qualifying standard by 20 minutes or more.  I am extremely tempted to go on and click “register” but I’m not. In the past I have made the comment (many times) that as long as I qualified for Boston I planned on running in it.  Why wouldn’t I? 

An emotional week ending with a 5K

What a long week this has been.  I am truly thankful to be on this end of it now.  Just one week ago I had finished my weekly long run and was preparing for the upcoming week of training.  How quickly things can change… I was truly humbled this week and learned many new life lessons.  Not sure the best
