Happy Easter!! All 4 of my babies- April 2011
Last week we celebrated 3 birthdays in our family. My son turned 5 on the 19th
and then on the 21st my daughter turned 3 and my mother-in-law turned one year older as well… 🙂

It was a fun week of partying and birthdays. And lots of CAKE! Then yesterday was Easter and for some reason we now have a TON of Easter chocolate and candy all around. I let myself go a little crazy this weekend but today I started day one. Day one of my new eating plan. 8 weeks from now we will be at the beach. 8 weeks. So for the next several weeks I am going to really try to watch what I eat and make better food choices. It was HARD passing up on so many sweets today. Every time I was tempted I reminded myself of where I want to be this summer. Since I am not exercising right now I am not burning nearly the amount of calories I was. Fortunately, I haven’t gained any weight these past 3 weeks that I haven’t been running but I also haven’t lost any. My goal is to be down at least 10 pounds 8 weeks from now. Oh baby weight… you are not my friend. This is the last time I have to fight this baby weight battle and I WILL win!
I am trying to see the big picture of this whole situation. I need to enjoy this break from running and just relax. Today as I was holding Ashton I knew that this is what I need to be doing right now in my life. I was so ready to get back in shape after I had Ashton. I thought I could do more than I could. And my body reached its limit!
I hope to start swimming later this week. I bought a weight resistant jogging water belt. I am very anxious to try it out!
