A Need for Speed…

A Need for Speed…

This morning I was in a hurry. I wanted to run and still make it back in time for John to go to work and Ashton to make it to doctor for a last minute check-up. We thought maybe he had RSV but he doesn’t. I was just paranoid but with a 6 week-old it’s better to be on the safe side! Anyhow… I met Leslie (my Wednesday morning running buddy) and we did 5 “faster” miles. We averaged a 9:06 mile which is the fastest I’ve run 5 miles in a LONG time. Since June at least. I felt fine. Maybe in 6 months I will be able to crank out 7 minute miles like that. It felt great. I love challenging myself. It definitely helps running with someone. Next Wednesday we are going to do 2 or 3 FAST. That will be a good work-out!

As f0r the rest of my week. I’m running 3 in the morning with Kem and then 8 on Saturday. Tomorrow I FINALLY have my OB appt in which I get the “go ahead” to start exercising again. Too bad I started 2 1/2 weeks ago! But I have been cautious and watching it. I will feel better have he’s checked out the incision area and I know everything is officially fine.

That’s all for now… Still need to buy our plane tickets for Boston. Why is airfare so stinking expensive right now?? Arghh!!
