I’m Back!!

I’m Back!!

Ahhhh! Pure running happiness! This morning I met my running girls for a Saturday morning run and it was GREAT! I have SO missed running with them and it felt good to be running outside like in the “old days.” This has been a good week. I am definitely improving and feeling better about my insane running plan. I ran 4 days this week. I kind of wanted to do 5 but I wanted to make sure I gave myself enough time to recover since I was doubling my mileage- actually tripling it this week! (Not hard to do when last week was 1, 1.5 and 2 miles.)

This week’s mileage: 16 total
Monday- 3 miles
Tuesday- 3 miles
Thursday- 4 miles
Saturday- 6 miles

Not bad for 5 weeks post c-section. 🙂 I am trying to move up gradually and just watch my body. I am not worried about pace. Today’s 6 miles was actually at a 9:36 avg. My legs are a little sore right now but that’s all. I have not run more than 5 miles since August so from here on out I know it will get a little tough. I’m just so glad to be able to do it and having good friends to run with is a huge bonus!

Next week I need to run 4 or 5 days. Saturday I am running 8 or 9. I am thinking I need two 3’s, a 4, 6 and then the 8 or 9. Hmmm. We’ll see… I just pray I don’t get injured or overdo it.

It just feels great to be out there running again. Thank you God!
