Would you ever run 17 miles just for the fun of it? Apparently, I would. My friend is training for a marathon. I needed to go on a long run 10-12 miles anyway so I thought why not do it all. Around mile 13 I could tell it had been a while since I’d gone this far. My friend’s goal was to keep the pace under 9 minute miles so that’s what I tried to help her focus on while we ran. It ended up being 8:53 so that was good. I took off yesterday to recover and this morning I just did an easy 3. My weekly mileage was 33 this week. Next week I have another 5K so it will be an easy week. Hopefully I will run fast Saturday!
